Hi guys!
My 'software' is playing up and I can't get to see the auxilliary drive belt pictures.
My aircon pump bearing has failed and I know the v6 has a belt and configuration for 'without' aircon. I have an aditional pully fitted that is for this purpose.
Just need the part numbers and drawings....if anyone can help :y

Its a different belt, and you just bypass the a/c pulley.
So it goes from tensioner, across to PAS, down to crank, around water pump, down to alternator, back up to tensioner...

Cant find a code for the V6 without aircon but, a 2.0 blt with aircon will fit, part code is:
93181718 at 23.10+Vat retail.....

If you have an additional pulley that is not used then it must be a very early engine, these had an additional idler which was deleted on later engines.
Does the a/c still work? It is likely to be the bearing in the a/c pulley that has gone, a specialist should have a puller which can remove the pulley from the compressor shaft, the bearings are all standard types which can be bought on-line for a couple of quid. I think you can re-install the pulley youself once you have changed the bearings.

The aircon still works....but the pump is 'whirring' loads......enough to hear it go off down the road some distance and is annoying the fook out of me! Anyway, its the bearing the pulley rides on thats dry and with a little play. I can do it myself at work, but need to get it emptied first, so just looking at how to get by for now as the job of taking it off will have to wait a few weeks first.
Oh and in the process of doing the job I found the water pump was starting to leak so did that too....through the timing cover! Stuck a QH on for £35...not bad for a Sunday!
Oh and the extra pully......my miggy was on of the first ones.....the pulley is more or less up and to the right of the crank pully....smooth and black. Thought maybe it was for use on the belt for non aircon versions. Will find out tomorrow.

The extra pulley is no longer used and a belt can not be bought anymore to support it.
You can simply remove it as it serves no purpose.
Plus that was a pricey water pump!

There is a special puller which screws into the clutch to remove it, then you extract a circlip and pull off the pulley. If you can get your hands on one of the extractors or get one made (make 2, send me one) then you can change the bearings without removing the compressor.
You have to have this puller, there is no other way of removing the clutch that I can see.

To Mark......that was the cheapest I could find on a Sunday! Hafrauds wanted £82 :o I shall remove the unused pully then, gonna pop out and get the belt this afternoon.
To Matchless.....I work in engineering, we have loads of various pullers at work, I'm in this weekend so I will be seeing which one, if any, are capable of doing the job ;)
