I have recently acquired a most excellent 3 litre Elite from none other than Laidback 66, but it has one glitch...the rear n/s rear passenger window does not do as its told and refuses to shut completely.
Obviously this is an electrical fault but has anyone any idea how to rectify?

Must be dodgy if it came from LB66 ;)
Have you tried reseting it?
-
Can't fault the car or LB66 - both splendid!
...but how do I reset it?
Cheers

press and hold the button in the down position until it stops, then a couple of seconds you hear a relay click. Then hold the button in the up position until it closes, a couple of seconds later the relay should click again ... job done. Auto-open and close should now both work!!
-
close window, then press and hold it closed for around 5s...

OK, many thanks, will give both your suggestions a go. :y

Only need to do on close position, not open. Yes, you do hear a relay click if you're quiet enough...

Hey Charlie, when closing the window does it get part way up- say two thirds - then just go back down again?
Mine does that. You have to move it up inch by inch till it fully closes.

It's sticking, and the hence thinks something / someone is stuck in it, so auto-opens again.
If thats you're problem then try a wee spray of ptfe in the side runners/ seals.
That should free it up after a couple of cycles of up and down. :y
