My drivers door lock no longer operates with the key fob remote :-/
It attempts to operate but looks as though it is stiff. When locking, the rest of the doors / boot lock then unlock. I think this is the control system detecting the drivers door has failed to lock. It locks fine with the key in the door.
Is there some mechanism that can be cleaned and lubed or do I need a new central locking solenoid for the drivers side?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

The drivers lock motor has additional position sensors / switches that signal the control unit to say that it is locked or unlocked.
When working off the key, you move the lock to one end of its travel which causes the position switches to tell the rest of the doors to lock / unlock.
If you are working off the remote and the drivers mechanism is sticky then all doors respond to the signal from the remote and lock as normal but the drivers lock doesnt reach its end-stop so the position switches tell the system to unlock again.
It could be that the mechanical lock mechanism is stiff due to dried up grease or muck, you can remove it and free off all the levers then regrease but you will probably end up changing the motor as well.
