Title: drivers door wouldn't unlock

Hi,went to unlock car this morning, all doors unlocked except drivers,locked/unlocked a few times still the same, so i turned ignition on dropped drivers window tryed to pull up the button,which came off in my hand.I then got grips on it pulled it up and door opened.put keys back in locked/unlocked a few times all was ok and has been all day...any ideas?any help/advise greatly appreciated.....Wayne

Mine did the same thismorning, might be cold weather closing in

Bit of WD40 seems to have cured mine for the time being.

Mine did the same thing a few weeks ago, WD40 fixed it then but it's back again now, WD didn't fix it this time.........

lazy solenoid / on its way out.

Think about it - its always the door you use most - ie the drivers door. Wd40 will help but it will go eventually, easily fixed using the how to on here to strip the door if it finally goes for good. ;)

Had the same problem a while back so i removed the lock mechanism to find greasy crap and something was jammed inside cleaned the mechanism regreased and all is working fine again.

My theory is the water that drains through the inside of the door (and sometimes gets trapped if you don't park on a level surface) causes the door lock mechanism to sieze up.

Took my door card off, cleaned up all the linkages with WD40, then greased everything.

It works perfectly now and the button is much easier to push down and pull up.

Hi,thanx for replies,done that this morning Jason and seems to have done the trick!,where i park does have quite a good camber on it ,check out my pic in gallery (wayne's omega v6) and see how bad camber is....thanx again...Wayne
