on the v6`s at least the hbv is at the very back - almost under skuttle panel in the very middle of engine - not at all dis similar in apperance to the air injector. Anyone confirm its in same position on 4cylinder omegas ?

On 4 cyls hbv can be seen and also replaced from underneath. Look up from drivers side of bell housing towards cyl head, it should be about level with the back of head and slightly towards drivers side.
On the 4 cyl there is quite good access to coil pack, temp sensors etc from underneath because there is only one set of exhaust pipes. You need long arms to reach things but it saves undoing wiper arms and scuttle.
