As per title really, went out this morning and ive noticed the low coolant warning is on again.
Its lasted about 150miles since i last filled it, ive checked and there is no oil or coolant mixing in either respective reservoirs and i know the oil cooler was changed for a stainless one about 10000 miles ago as i checked when buying it.
I cant see where its leaking, there are no visible signs and its not smoking.
Someone i spoke to said it could be the heater matrix manifold hosing at the back of the engine near the DIS pack... He couldnt explain but said it was a common problem.
Any ideas on what it could be?

Looking through here im guessing this person i spoke to is refering to the heater bypass valve?
Do i just need a new one, or do i need gaskets and stuff besides the obvious coolant as well?
Anyone know the part number? Ive gotta order some shit from Vauxhall in the next couple of days anyway, so i might as well get it at the same time. My heater doesnt seem to be getting real hot either...... Looking in the pages of this section it seems it might fit the bill as the problem.

Yeah, that should be it. No gaskets. Dumps right on the DIS (Coil packs) so that may go later. Some part numbers are listed in the FAQ, but don't know if HBV is on the list yet.

Yeah that was mentioned to me too....Luckily its still firing right touch wood! :y
Thanks mate, will order one asap. :)

There is the beginnings of a more detailed scuttle guide in the test forum. Maybe I'll get off my keyster and finish it this afternoon ::)

Cool, will make life easier as i have a habit of removing everything that need not be moved and nothing that should! haha! :D

Is it possible to put a bag over / wrap the dis pack in foil/clingfilm to prevent a soaking killing it?

In theory a grease or spray with silicone or other that stops water ingress would do the trick im guessing.... but who knows, in theory it would work, in reality is another thing. lol.
