hi, if ur a 2L owner and wish to change ur cambelt then dec edition of car mechanics has the job in it, all pictured, although most on this site have probably told ya how to do it already !!! tone

Yes, Markjay covered this topic about Car Mechanics a few weeks ago.
I have seen this article, and it's quite good, apart from no mention of torque settings for the tensioners, pulley wheels etc.
Also it mentions that one of the cams was one tooth out, again, no mention as to how they rectified it.
The article would also work on a 2.2.
The main points that I did not like are as follows:-
There is no mention of draining the radiator first.
Never use the old cam belt, they suggest that you can.
Always replace the water pump at the same time.
Always use Vx antifreeze when topping up the radiator with a 50/50 mix.
In the new year this site (with the help of Mark) hope to produce a DVD of a 2.0/2.2 cambelt change which will be far more comprehensive that the guide in Car Mechanics magazine.
