Title: Front Heated Seats Not Working
Post by: Craig_R on 11 December 2006, 10:06:07
Just a Quick one Does not really matter if they get fixed but would be nice if they did work again.

My Front Heated Seats Worked Fine Until It got Cold (HOW NORMAL IS THAT)

Checked the fuses and they seem ok, and under the seats all cables seem to be conected but dont like messing to much as the Seat airbag cable is under there also, the lights above the temp set wheel are on when set to anything above 0 but no heat, dont think either side is working.

Anything I should look for any other fuses in the engine bay maybe ?

If the 'on' light is on.....suggests power is ok.......could be knackered heating elements in the seats.....i think someone did take the seat apart and repaired the heating element.....seem to remember they chopped out the burnt out bit and rejoined it together.....but sounds quite difficult taking the seats apart  :-/

this is being covered in another thread under the electrical section.

No one has really tackled this problem yet so its hard to say.

That'd be me  :y
Removal isn't difficult and neither is taking them apart. Just be aware of the airbags & seat belt pre-tensioners and battery disconnection routine. As I said before the worst that can happen is that you end up with heating mats that still don't work!  ;)
