Hi Guys
I want to remove the wood dash part on the facelift. I have read the how to, but can anyone tell me. Do you need to remove all the swithes? Before pulling out the second section, after the radio. If your not doing anything with them.
I have a few blanks under the alarm switch that dont want to move and I only want to fit a no holes dash mount, between the wood and soft padding.
Any advice would be appreciated. :y

Hi
Try this link

In the last few weeks I have had my console out twice, I got a new console off ebay and fitted it with help from this site. I now have all lights fixed and have heat in the car.
If you want to take it all of the way out you need to remove the switches and pull down the connector blocks on the back, reach through the radio aperture.
Remove the top two blocks and the console will hang right out, remove and replace bulbs, reverse what you did and hey presto back in.
It does get easier.
Hope you manage it.

i've had the wooden dash around the radio out on mine several times, no you don't need to remove all the buttons, they are part of one big long grey thing (ohhh how technical ;D)
If i remember correctly, you take the radio out. There is a screw at the back, take that out. You then need to remove the ciggy tray at the bottom, open it out and you should see another screw at the back in the middle. Remove that too, then the ciggy tray should slide out.
You are then left with 2 screws at the bottom corners of the the wooden dash, take them out and the wood just popps out.... *i think*
Its been a while since i have done it.... i think the bottom part of the wood clips on and the scews are higher up.... towards the top actual... sorry been typing this as i try to remember!
