Hello Everyone,
I have a 2.0 16V omega with a strange problem The indicators don't work and the brake lights don't work either, The hazard indicatorS work fine when switched on. I have checked the fuses they all seem fine, I was wondering about the relays but I don't have a manual and I am not very good on this sort of thing, so any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

As said in welcome thread, may be worth checking if hazard switch contacts are ok...

Hi Jacko
Is your high level brake light working?
I have the same car a 1999, I have had loads of problems with brakelights going off, and the bulb and fuses all seemed OK. It is a problem that other owners have reported here on this site.
A guy who does my servicing now and again, Tech 2 etc sorted an earth wire in the light holders and I haven't had a problem since, touch wood!! :-/
It seems like a quirk that Omegas seem to have, it's all part of the pleasure of Omega ownership!
As you will see from recent messages on herere 2.2's sounding noisy, don't know about yours 2.0 but mine sounds great when cold, but a bit rattlely when warm ::)
Hope you get your lights sorted :y

Hazard switch is definitely something to look at. When I changed my centre console the indicators stopped working, it was the hazard switch not latching in the off position properly which disables the indicators

Ok...not working......brake lights AND indicators......check Fuse 2 in the fuse box, it supplies the brake lights, indicators, cruise control and part of the display...
Fuse info can be found here
Omega Cabin Fuse Info (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1161602008)
Top tip for others watching.....Examine ALL the symtoms ;)

Should have also said, take the fuse out and either swap it with a known good one or measure its resistance......some fuses can look intact but have an internal failure.

I had a similar problem with mr wife's vectra with the reverse lights not working, and only 1 brake light working, that turned out to be the actual light fitting at fault

Ok Having had a similar problem in the past it turned out to be that the connector that clips onto the bulb holder wasn't making a good contact check the pins are not bent on the holder only if bent in they will not make a contact causing your problem.
