I only Really Got to test out my Megga tonight after the Head Gasket Replacment And i am not a happy bunny
It still Stalls after Pulling upto Junctions and roundabouts from high Speeds or the revs drop to near on Nil and the just recover. this is only when pulling up at high speeds and the clutch is engaded.
What Could be the Problem It was very cold tonight -2degs but the engine was upto temp.
I am going to look at the ICV and throttle body again After I drive back home to the NorthEast For Xmas thinking it might be the issue.
And I still dont think its firing right i think there is a slight miss fire still totaly gutted I thought getting the HG done would solve the issues.

...any ECU error codes?

Hi Craig, were all the breathers ect cleaned after the hg failure? Also, was the inlet manifold renewed if it was taken off for hg replacement? I tried to reuse mine when I fitted the replacement engine and it gave me similar symptoms to yours. I had already cleaned the Idle control valve and checked all the vacumm hoses before I solved the problem by replacing the inlet manifold gasket. It must have been drawing air and has been fine since.
Cheers Jim :)

Should be able to do paperclip on 2.0l...

Hi Craig, mine is a november '99 so also a 2ltr facelift and the paperclip test works fine, Ignition on but car not running. The Inlet manifold is the big silver lump that's part of where you have arrowed ::) and bolts onto the cylinder head. It houses the injectors as well as the air intake bits.
