Just had the drivers side wheel off my dads 2001 2.2 cd... and ermm no brake sensor connections? :-?
No sensors on the pad, and no connection at the back to plug them in! - I remember reading some ware that later facelift's only have 1 sensor?
I am guessing its on the passenger side, but mother has gone out and ordered me no to jack the car up with her around! ::) >:(
So while i wait, any of you chaps with later facelift's found this? only one sensor??

Early 2.2 Facelift here (2000)
2 sensors
well, when I say sensors, I mean paperclips ;)
You are right though, later just had 1.

Jack it up anyway
Tell her Jaime came around and did it, she will never know ;)

Mines got 2 as well (2000 X plate 2.2)
I think dads is the first of new later ones, it has different wood fascia. His seams to start easier than mine, i think his as a different make of starter motor.

Does his also not need the Hillpers boot mod?
ie press and hold opens the boot?
-
Starting to think we need a new class of meega ::)
We currently have:
Pre-facelift
Mini-facelift
Facelift
Maybe we also need Maxi-facelift?

Thats the other odd thing, his boot as the same as mine. Cannot open with the engine running / ignition on. I think that came in 2002

2001 on' only one pad wear sensor fitted on N/S (passengers side)
Cheers Pete

2000/2001 - boot will not open if the key is inserted in the ignition barrel – whether the engine is running or not.
2002/2003 – Vx got rid of this silly idea, and instead came-up with an even sillier one - you need to press the release button for a (very) long time.
2006 – Hillper’s boot mod for 2000/2001 models first published on OOF - http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1155211091
