Title: Replaced my fuel filter today
Post by: Chopsdad on 07 January 2007, 11:43:55
Easy peasy. 20 mins and that included taking pics for a basic how2. (5 next time)

I even used the old clips (cos I forgot to buy new yesterday) and didn't get petrol in my eyes once.  :)

And if it's any help it doesn't add any power but does sit smoother at idle and the gearstick doesn't wobble as much  ;D

Top job :y

The clips are prone to breaking when doing this job due to going brittle, so its always worth getting the clips.  AFAIK, it it ok to reuse old clips if they are not damaged.

Opps, I didn't explain. Sorry, been a long weekend  :-[

The problems updating the g/box ecu s/w were not the car or the Tech2 but the bloody PCs  >:( - my old Dell I use to do it is currently being rebuilt, if it lets me down like that again it will have a chat with Sammy Sledgehammer....   >:(  >:(  >:(

Did it (eventually) with Matchless's laptop after a bit of friggin around, but a 10 minute job turned into an hour long ordeal....
