Title: mid?

Just fitted MID to my TD and all working but the second plug grey one is proving hard to find :o am guessing its there somewhere but couldnt find it in the short time i had to fit it!!anyone done this? MID does its first check on turning ignition on then displays the Oil lack message!! havent got the control stalk yet but its on its way as we speak, however i forgot i have cruise on the tractor and cant remember if the control stalk for the mid has it!! so may need anew stalk as well!!
any help greatly appreciated guys

I'm guessing by fact you haven't got stalk that you had TID before?  In which case, you won't have the check control stuff, hence the lack of loom, and the errors

damn!! yep its onluy a GLS , But being as cruise was enabled and its one of the first ones thought the plugs might be there somewhere!!! just checked the plug that was in the back and it has ten wires!!! gulp wonder if its poss to buy that part of the loom??

I think a lot of the check control sensors will be missing as well...

Hmm i was under the impression that the Mid got its feed from the ecu sensors??? must be wrong there then!!! though as stated manytimes before the TD is a different animal to the petrol so it may be possible!!!

some, not all.  If you have a wiring diagram, that will show what comes from ECU and what doesn't...

Was MID off a TD, if not, it will need reconfiguring via Tech2 anyway.

Yep but believe it or not the td estate it came off was an L reg car!!!
also got the dash with it and the damn thing wont power up in my car, printed circuit is a different colour to mine but aprt from that it looks identical front and back your thoughts???

Can't think of a reason why dash won't work then, unless faulty.  Presumably the contacts on the back were fully seated...

Did take it out a couple of times to ensure good seating and connections but not one of the gauges worked even with engine running!!
