Guys I have posted various topics about my meega,
Its a 2001 2.2CD Auto (Z22XE)
EML is still on, vaux couldnt cancel it, fault codes are P0700 & P1700.
Had new MAF and Cam sensor, had autobox flushed with filter and oil change, generally car is okay but plays up sometimes (limp mode)
Could do with a visit to Marks DTM Calib if he available to help, I live 11 miles from Nottingham (Bilsthorpe on the A614)
Mark, really would appreciate your help with this as i am losing the will to keep the car, although i love it.
Cheers
jonny

Are you sure the cam sensor has been replaced?
-
yeah the cam sensor was replaced with a genuine vauxhall part in sept last year.
May try another one though as a lot of people on this forum have said the cam sensor causes a lot of problems.
When i first start the car, sometimes it takes a while longer to turn over and wont allow sports mode or kickdown (Limp mode).
If i switch off and on again its fine!
Strange!

Similar problems to I experienced, turned out to be the cam sensor.

Does sound like cam sensor......but your not getting P0340.....which would be the giveaway.
You really need to get the gearbox ecu codes read to see if the g/b ecu is complaining of anything.....P0700 and P1700 should reset ok if theres nothing stored in the g/b ecu.
Ive just reset P0700 and P1700 on mine, they cleared ok so i assume theres nothing stored in my g/b ecu......i carnt read my g/b ecu ever since vx updated it to the latest firmware :(
If you havent got a cheapo code reader......a visit to a local (non vx) garage might be worth it if they have a code reader.......im sure for a few beer tokens...they wont mind reading the g/b ecu for you :y

as said in the previous threads, you do need to check g/box for any codes...
