Title: Get you home tyre stuff???

Ok, as you may or may not no,im having problems with my front right "toffee" made irmscher wheel.There is a chunk out of the inside,probably buckled etc bla bla bla.

No one can get a inner tube in a 45 profile tyre, no one can weld it up and fix it near were i live, and im fed up off pumping it up every two days.

My question is,shall i bodge it and spray that expanding get u home tyre stuff in it,(rally style) and leave it for a while.

If so will it still take a pumping up every now and then? (oo err) with that stuff in it,will it be like driving on a cement wheel(hard)?............just something a tad more perminant and sturdy till i find a spare or some new rims.......

Firstly, never run an inner tube in a tubeless tyre.

Secondly, just replace the wheel...   ...with the damage you say, its bound to be buckled or have faulty/weak rims anyway.

Chunk out of the inside, buckled & losing pressure  -  would you want to corner that at 70 mph  :-? or be safe and fit the spare.  A car only looks nice when it's in one piece  :-/

In this month's Car Mecahnics Magazine, they suggest to put the wheel in a tub and check for air bubles, then take off the tyre, clean the suspect area with wire brush, coat the offending arae with a layer of RTV-type silicone sealant, allow to dry, then re-fit the wheel.

Tempting, but then they also say that if this does not work you can fit an inner tube, which as TheBoy correctly said is a no-no... Tubeless tyres are not meant to be used with inner tubes.

Here, Here,  It's a big No. No, if you look inside a tubeless, there are ribs, these cause friction on a tube,  BANG!   Tubed tyres are smooth ans don't cause friction.....

Please DON'T..

Thanks chaps,your all wright,i was clutching at straws.

Just been to price up some new rims so watch this space saver....lol

Untill then its on with the "stone age" steely.
