Title: Fan speeds
Post by: JayUK on 29 January 2007, 22:41:34
Hey guys,

Is there anyway to 'reset' the fan speeds. It's a 2003 and it used to be fine, I'd have it on fan speed 2 and it wouldn't be too noisy.
Now, even on 1 it seems loud and there seems to be no difference between 2,3,4  5+ is full on and noisy   :-/

Any ideas?

press auto and it will got back to automatic, the fan level will disappear.

To reset the system, hold down Auto and off for 5 seconds, system will click and totally shut down. Then restart.

On fan speed 1, mine is silent. I manually override it in the summer to make it less noisey. After its made the cabin cool, i force it to setting 1, and it keeps it nice and cold but you can't hear the fans.  :y

If it's on auto it's a jet car! :)

I'm thinking it needs a reset so Auto & Off for 5 seconds. That should hopefulyl sort it out.

Thanks :)

Bah  humbug!

AUTO & OFF didn't seem to shut the system down.
Still stuck with my wrong fans  :-/

Knackered speed controller? Had a blocked pollen drain recently?

Not that I know of! Sounds painful.

I've had a look at the drain on the passenger side, and that's clear - all very different on the driver's side, so ummm, not sure about that. Doesn't seem to be a drain there (?)

Hopeless I know!  8-)

That'll be me just skimming  the guide then, the first time.

Without taking notice of the Driver's side being shown in mucho detail.

I'm a plank.  Will try again, the right way!

Cheers all, I'm off to get me coat...
