Long story but I will try to make it short. Picked up ( by trailer ) a 1994 Omega 2.0 Ecotec. Problem with the previous owner was that the crank sensor wires had deteriorated and shorted out, also causing the ECU to blow. He ordered a new sensor but it turned out to be the oval fitting instead of square plug. Problem is, he pulled the wires off the connector on the fuel rail and cut off the oval plug on the new sensor he bought and tried to fit the sensor onto the wires coming from the ECU. I fixed the wiring at the ECU end and replaced the ECU. What I need to know is.....the plug connector on the fuel rail is numbered 1...2...3. Does anyone know what colour wires connect to the relevant numbers?. I need to solder the 3 wires for the ecu onto the connector so I can plug in the sensor as normal.

Pin 1 Grey/Black
Pin 2 Grey/Red
Pin 3 Brown/Red
The chanes of shorting any of these out causing the ECU to blow is pretty much 0.....

Thanks Mark, I really appreciate your help. :y
As for the ECU, well I'm just going but what the previous owner told me but I have changed the ECU anyway just in case.

not sure on the early ones like yours if you have to do something with immobiliser if you change ecu. I dont think so, but hopefully someone can confirm...
