Story so far. Have had to reconnect both cam and cranks sensor wires to the ecu as previous owner had cut them off. He bought the wrong crank sensor so instead of changing it he cut the plug off and tried to connect it to the ECU. I have tried to reconnect the wires and without a diagram it aint easy. Bought a new crank sensor and checked engine number to make sure it was the correct one. Finally got the car started yesterday but I shut it off and tried restarting it but no go. It was on jump leads for over an hour. Constant trying to fire then decided to give up firing completely. Fault codes I'm getting are: 19...crankshaft sensor 52: Check light....voltage high and 92: camshaft sensor. Seeing as the car wont run do these codes exist or is it showing them because the engine aint running?. If anyone has a wiring diagram for a 1994 2.0 Omega that would really help me out.

19 does mean crank sensor fubared......but those codes might be old codes....you need to clear them and see which ones come back...knackered crank or not wired up correctly will stop the engine from starting (tho im suprised it started....if wired up wrongly.....but anythings possible i guess)
So first step i would recommend is reset the codes.....either with someone with tech2 (not vx dealer tho.....cost you £45 at least!) or someone with a code reader possibly a friendly local garage, then report back what codes you are getting :y
