hurrah,i done the hbv this morn, £29 all in from vaux,i did moan a bit to the lady serving,asking for trade club price,she said 'i have done it trade for you' i told her re the boy,'its not a trade item is it?',flustered she said nothing :) so she signed me up for a trade club card there and then!!!!! amazed,no checks on me or anything,just wanted the name of my company.... ;) ;)
still the hbv,yes its fiddly,christ those clips........,still its done along with coolant flush and change,quite a productive morning,fingers crossed this will cure my coolant loss problem..,if not i got a trade card to buy me oil cooler/coolant bridge..... ;)

Well done, its a satisfying little job innit!
well done on the trade card, I will have a try at a different dealer myself next week :y

Did mine about a month ago, scars still visible!
Fixed 1 leak, I still have another somewhere though :(
topping up every few days, waiting on a mechanic friend now to pressure test.

Aren't those clips just complete bstds. Either too big for your pliers or just out of reach.

yes mate they are utter ar$$holes,bet the bloke that thought of them got employe of the month though,thats the sad thing.... :P

The clips are very good. They are extremely quick during build, and apply a consistent, even clamping pressure...
But without right tools, a right barsteward...

Mines been done before i got it so when it was my turn to do it last year, somebody had kindly changed them for jubilee clips :)
