Title: Caliper Carrier Bolts P/N?
Post by: Markjay on 23 February 2007, 17:23:31
Can someone with EPC find-out the P/N for the front caliper carrier securing bolts (these are the bolts securing the brake caliper carrier to the hub)? It's a 2001 2.6 but I think they are all the same (apart from some early 4-cylinder models).

The bolts need to be torqued by angle, and I like to replace this type of bolts when disturbing them (I know not everyone does!).

Thank you...

EPC says 90442281 or 90541296 both are M12 X 40mm, don't know what the difference is though!

Hope this helps,

Dave C

Think the 90541296 is proper to chassis numbers W1000000 onwards..

Thank you! I hope to be able to confirm this with the Parts Manager at Vx tomorrow....

According to the very helpful Parts Manager at Vx, the chassis number used to have a letter signifying the year - up to W which is 2000 and that was the last the letters system was used. From 2001, Vx changed to a digit, 1 signifying 2001 etc. So my car being a 2001 Y will need the post-W1000000 bolts...

Thanks again dave c!

Yep - my 2000 is a Y.

I did wonder when the numbers came in.
