notice the second glove compartment where the passenger airbag usually is.... anyone know where i can get one??? could do with the extra storage... haha ;D
also, if i remove the pass airbag, wont the dash warning come on....?
cheers, rob.

picture is taken of the Omega 'Select' it had nothing spec wise, as you see no passenger airbag.

:D hey mark, wondered where you got to.... cheers for your reply. would love to get my hands on one mind, too much kit, not enough pockets to store it lol

Insurance companies take a dim view of removing safety features...

Although I'm no fan of the current trend of stuffing as many airbags into the car as will physically fit, I wouldn't go removing it. Not worth the hassle, the diag system will probably throw a fit, and as mentioned it could have major consequences for your insurance.

Thing is, they do help tremendously

Hopefully you don't get to find out. ;) I'm with Paul M though - if the crash doesn't get you, the pyrotechnics surrounding you probably will. ::)

I have a car designer brother, and Mrs TheBoy's brother is a car durability tester. Trust me, a smack in the face from a bag of air is better than having your snout pushed through the back of you skull as you Glasgow kiss the dash....

I had a colleague who kerbed his beamer quite badly.
As well as trashing his alloys, it also caused all his passenger side airbags to go off. No one else was in the car so no one hurt apart from his pride - was quite funny in hindsight.

Doesn't surprise me with BMW, they do have high warranty claims and (silent) recalls.
Airbags should not go off under this situation, and would be a warranty issue.

Tell him to get his finger out then and design a RWD Senator Omega replacement. ;) ;)
