Hi all.
I'm new to the world of Omegas. Have just bought a 97 3.0 Elite estate. The steering snatches under braking sometimes and have been told it could be the bushes on the wishbones. I have read other messages and it seems to be the norm to change the whole wishbone. There are a few on eBay, are these anygood?
But before I do this, is there anything I can check?
Thanks
Richard

Unless you have a press it's best to change the wishbones. I've just got mine from www.buypartsby.co.uk and they seem ok - only £55 for a pair delivered after advice from members who have fitted them previously. :y

I rate the VSC ones on ebay as about the best pattern part.....55 inc delivery per pair....

I've just done the following today as it was quite nice out there:
2x VSC Wishbones
2x Drop Links
2x Front Discs
2x Front Pads
The front of the car now feels solid as rock, no banging over bumps, ultra responsive steering and a great feeling of it being much more together - it also doesn't wobble when braking heavily anymore.
Following the guide on here and nothing else, took me 4 hours to do the first side, and 2 to the second, can't recommend it enough, completely worth the effort and time :D
( Also very self-satisfying :y :y )

Mark recommends VSC,, So do I ! Just wondering, does anyone know if the front bushes on these pattern wishbones have the standard type of bush as per VX or are they a solid type????

To me they looked identical to the vx ones, and the bushes didn't look like those solid aftermarket jobbies you can buy...

Where did you go for the drop links?

Vauxhall spares centre (VSC) - I phoned them to check the wishbones on ebay, and asked about the links while there, paid £10 per side inc VAT - there number is: 01708 384720
