My cars alarm is going mad
I wll have to leave it unlocked at this rate.
Just cable tied the bonnet sensor closed - still goes off, nothing inside it flying around.
Gone off 4 times this morning already!!!!
Any ideas please?

Usual power sounder?
Tried disabaling ultrasonics
You can always lock the doors from the inside, providing you do this via passenger side
-
Just seen your other - 'Windy' post
If its still windy, try closeing the internal heater vents?
-
Definately alarm, indicators flashing, not too windy now - but never thought of that.

power sounder :o
Cost of replacement sounder is £50ish only from :'(Vaxhll :'(
Real cost is getting the powersounder set up using Tech2
Do you know anyone with tech2 near you. Had mine changed and tech2'd for about £90.

Hi mate
i had the same problem a couple of weeks ago,on my 1999 3,0 elite estate, alarm going off all the time,it seemed worse when it rained,it turned out to be a dodgy door switch, drivers side,i replaced it and had no problem since,as they are quite cheap to buy i replaced all of them including the tailgate.i also had trouble with the heater fan staying on,it turned out to be the front scuttle full of water, scuttle drain hole was blocked.cleaned it out drained the water and now no more problems. hope you get the alarm sorted.
Dave.

I have this problem with mine since i've owned it. (Sept 2006)
Have been meaning to get the power sounder sorted but keep doing more important things with my money.
Easy short-term solution is to get out of the car. Open rear (drivers side) door. Push down drivers lock button and close rear door. Car locked but alarm not set. I've been doing this for 6 months now! ::)

Is the horn and the sounder going off, or just the sounder?
-
dead backup alarm battery module thing?
Try disconnecting it, drivers side scuttle. Sqaure black box :y

hi i to had the same problem but all i do is
before i get out i push the button next to the 4 way flashers
(the one with the man running away with the 3 lines behind him)
that dis-ables the interior sensors
been spot on since no problems and i get a good night sleep
:y mick

Power sounder sounds different - mine has had new batteries

If its the main car alarm.....only thing to do really is get it read with a tech2.....that should tell you which sensor is setting it off :y
