If its been snapped off its stud you will need a new sensor.

Ive got a new sensor  :y.....and bet you carnt guess who messed with the pads last  >:(

Tho as old sensor was snapped off and even with new sensor plugged in and left dangling for now.....it must be 'make the circuit' for the mid to complain about the pads.....coz mine isnt complaining

TBH I thought the circuit had to be made in order for it NOT to complain.  That's certainly what I recall when I was last messing with them.

I also seem to remember this was one of those jobs where Haynes says something like 'unclip the sensor..'  nigh on impossible on old pads I found.

Ah I see what you mean - its plugged into the electrical connector (thought you meant the pad for some reason) - that should make the circuit and turn the warning off I believe.

Yes, the inner pad behind the disc, sensor plugs in facing away from you at the top middle of the new pad if I remember correctly..

Sorry, its is the brass hole. Thought you were on about rh pad.

To confirm, it clips in brass hole, which would be halfway up pad.

The wire then comes out through the gap in the middle of the caliper.

Might have to undo bottom bolt and pivot. I find it easier to fit sensor to pad before fitting pad...

No you don't need to remove the caliper to fit the sensor - just line the pin of the sensor up with the hole of the clip and push carefully

Oddly, I tend to find it easier and less fiddly lifting the caliper....  :-/

What's plugged in to the sensor lead plug? the usual trick/bodge (however you look at it! ::) ) is to plug an old worn out sensor lead in to the plug, cut the ceramic bit off and then bare and short the two wires out to kid the display.

Old sensor was still pluged in....at the connector end....the sensor bit was just dangling in the breeze....but broken off....the ceramic bit the sensor end was half missing....i the probe/sensor bit was snapped off
