Hi there All
Started the car this frosty morning, noticed that it hesitated at off. A mile up the road at about 30 mph the light on TID was on, looks like (!) it started to stall, engine man light flickered, and came to a stand still. I sprayed the leads with WD40 (as it was a damp cold one), started up (all lights went out) and off to work. Once there I reved it and there is a miss up to 2000 revs then runs fine there on. I now that you might be thinking idle control valve, but this fix was done a month back along with new cam cover gasket. I shall have a better look at the leads tonight, oil in wells, etc. just wondered if anyone els has had this prob. being an automatic, a bit of a pain at junctions.
Thanks

Vac pipes, knackered plugs / HT leads - were these changed when you did your cam covers? Any hissing coming from under the bonnet?

Changed plugs two weeks ago, getting leads today, no hissing, what vac pipes do you mean, there seems to be a lot of them!

If non-gen cam cover gaskets then they have probably started leaking again.....

Cam cover gasket was a gen VX one but thay had not herd of black sealer! no leaks to see yet. Going to check plug wells tonight, might be the problem with missing at low revs!!

"Irratic (Member on here)" had a very similar problem only last week.. He changed the leads and plugs, he says OK now.. Is it still OK Russ?
