I have bought a set of clocks for me 98 3.0 Elite. I was assured that they came off a similar model, but they don't work (even though I have been assured that they do), so is there a difference between modles with the same engine when it comes to clocks?
The first thing I noticed is that the flexible PCB on the back was green, when mine is blue. Is that significant? Both go up to 160mph.
When I installed them, the only thing that I could get to work was when I flashed the lights, the fog light indicater came on. :'( I didn't drive the car, so I didn't check the speedo, and the rev counter didn't work (which is why I bought the thing in the first place).
Is there a difference, or should I throw them back at the guy I bought them off? [smiley=angry.gif]

You need a set with matching PCB colour and speed on the dials.....they are the wrong ones by the sound of it

Does it matter it if comes off a 2.5 or 3.0 as long as the colour of the PCB is correct?
-
Either will do....

What was wrong with the old clocks? :-? Also, have you been to Auto Reclaim at Stafford? They're normally gr8 for spares, they've moved from Common Rd to t'other side of Stafford now...

Sorry, had a busy day and tired, I'm suprised they let me lose with a PC ;D ;D ;D
Woke up now, have they got a voltage stabaliser on them, these binacles?
Common on Fords to kill the dials...............

Post mini facelift have fog light symbols on dash (as opposed to on switches), and have a diag interface for Tech2... ....thats only difference I know about, but may be more....

That sounds right. I have got fog light indicators on the dash. Don't know about the Tech2 bit though.
