Title: Headlight level sensor
Post by: Dean on 25 March 2007, 16:23:52
I have recently replaced the motors at the rear of my Xenons because of the Low Beam warning on the MID (which is doing my head in!) However its still giving me the warning...

I am guessing its the leveling sensor at the front due to the previous owner having done the wishbones a while back i bet he has knackered the unit.

I took the front n/s wheel off this morning and found the sensor...sprayed a bit of WD40 but that did'nt work.

reaching to the back of the unit where the ball joint goes into the square block i moved the joint and out it popped, bit dirty so cleaned with WD40 and repositioned it.

STILL NOT WORKING!

anyone have any experience with these who has any wods of wisdom?

No pearls of wisdom other thatn to say I also get the message "headlight field/vision" and apparently it's the sensor at the back on my car (Tech II said so) It had been behaving itself recently but has come back on in the last week. :(

The warning can mean servos, front or rear sensor, ecu, or wiring issues.

tbh, its normally the front or rear sensor, often the link has just popped off.
