Title: Elite without leather?
Post by: alan2450 on 15 September 2007, 22:42:11
I thought that all Elite's had leather as standard?

Is this suspect?

only the 3.0 had cow hide as standard, all the others had it as an option

it looks like an Elite, has all the spec of one, shame the advert doesn't do the car much justice

On 3.0/3.2 Elite, leather standard, cloth no cost option.

On 2.5/2.6 and 2.5TD Elite, cloth standard, leather an option

No idea about 2.2DTi Elite, I suspect as per 2.5/2.6

strange as it may sound there are times i would forgo the leather, especially on long journeys.

Leather is nice and it adds that little bit of class to the car, but in a hot summer in shorts  :o :o

Leather does get hot (and cold!).  Also, if you have dogs on the seats, leather is not an option.

Vauxhall's choice of words 'no cost option' for the 3.0/3.2 Elite meant that you could have the car without leather if you really wanted to, but it wouldn't cost you any less...

yep as mentioned, leather an option on 2.6 or below

look at this one...

devastated, very nice looking car, cambelt was done on time but it has no service history, no mention of proven mileage but it's a very nice car, i'll be happy if it goes for more than £3,000 so its over my budget!!

Unless it pukes it's dinner all over the back & front seats as I'm trying to get it out.

The mutt did that yesterday all over the cloth...how I wished I still had the 'wipe clean' leather.

Note to self - the dog may like going in the car, but it's not the one that has to clean up afterwards...
