Post by: Jay w on 02 April 2007, 19:10:05
a small request, but it would help me greatly........

My radio has blown its fuse, i need to borrow if poss a the radio release forks and an allen key that will fit the grub screws so i can pop the radio out and replace the 10a fuse in the back of the radio

would help a lot as i have a long drive home to plymouth on friday and the sound of near silence is very gloomy after a while.....

I'm around in the eve and would be happy to pop out to someone's if they can help  :y

Nottingham!!   That's the Omega capital of the UK !! ;D

Halfrauds do the radio release forks, around £2.99, they also do sets of allen keys with one small enough for the grub screws   :y

Don't worry - it won't be near silence.

You will hear all those noises you never noticed before ...

I have released radios before now using 4 terminal screwdrivers or 4 small drill bits pushed into the holes.  It's a bit more tricky bending all of them inwards at once but not impossible.

last month i stole 4 plastic cothangers from swmbo's wardrobe , and cut out the metal bts to use as substitute radio keys  ;D

when my will is read out and my possesions divided.( in a good few more years yet i hope)
someone is going to be left a shoe box full of choped up coathangers and radio keys  :o ;D
