AutoVaux need it for my thermostat.

Any ideas where it is?

You are joking......there has only ever been one type of stat fitted!

I am fast hating this company.......

The engine number is stamped onto the block-bell housing flange near the crank sensor....

VSC on ebay also do them......if they are supplying the newer style part you need new longer bolts...

Looks like the later design to as it has the improved seal on it....

If the later part with the thicker flange was used right at the end of production and they have both the old (superceeded) part and the new part in stock then they will ask for engine numbers.

You want the new part with new (longer) bolts, the early ones had a very thin flange and tend to crack, the later part is much thicker around the base and has an improved seal.

No....old part is no longer serviced and there was never a specified engine cut over for them....in fact, I dont think the modified one was ever fitted during production....

Anyway, you dont want the old version because the seal is rubbish....

Anyone got a part number for the bolts? And how many?  I didn't realise this when I bought my new stat..

Just by the by, the engine number is stamped adjacent to the oil filter. At least it is on the pre facelift.  :)
