Title: Camber fixing after wishbone replacement
Post by: bizza69 on 07 April 2007, 18:41:23
Some of you may remember the exhasperation I was feeling after my 03 2.2 CD Auto had a definite camber problem and was scrubbing the inner front tyres off recently.  I tried the fatties in the front and tightening the wisbone bolts on the ground etc to no particular avail.....then today with the osf strut off for top bearing/mount replacement, when we went to rebolt the hub up we noticed play/ adjustment on the two bolts at the bottom of the strut.  Pulled the tops of the discs outwards to bolt up and hey presto - camber perfect.  I remember SOMEONE saying there WAS camber adjustment but have lost my original post so can't remember who it was or what he said  :-/ Anyway; it';s fixed now and I hope this helps someone else in a similar predicament  ;) All I need now is my front leather in once I've figured the wires ......the rears are in and have attracted much appreciation  :D  Happy Easter to all  :P

Glad you got it sorted...

There seem to be a myth going around about front camber not being adjustable on the Omega - a few members here reported that their local garage said this. Not quite sure why really, since both TIS and Autodata quite clearly detail the camber adjustment procedure:
