Title: Tyre attack
Post by: Martin_1962 on 16 September 2007, 11:38:18
Went to Tesco this morning, just before I got in the car I saw a twig leaning against the tyre, moved it, then saw a sharp piece of plastic placed where if I had driven off I would have got a puncture.

Got an incident number - 3 possibles, 1 probable

Since the probables were asleep I decided to waxoil my car.

Since the rear arches are a likely palce to get rust I used my compressor to squirt waxoil around the body cavities around the arches.

90% certain HS, 5% random, 3% someone else, 2% the last possible.

Not taken any action beyond reporting - won't give them the satisfaction

I have only briefly read these posts Martin, but am I right in thinking that all this grief is from a housesitter? If so, where is the owner? Can you contact them?

Feel for you,

but, I Think it's time you turn a blind eye, as much as it hurts.

Remember you are a different type of people to these, they KNOW where you live, you will struggle to find out much about them
Sounds like they will fight dirty, so you may morally win, but I wouldn't want the agro, least your tyres are ok this time, could easily be a tin of paint stripper next time, attack on your brakes or anything.

Whatever stink you kick up later, they WILL know it was you, and they do sound like the sort of people who will have revenge, be it you, your family, car, or house.

I hate this type of behaviour, but please think through the consequences of any actions against them.

Firstly they have a job they have to remain clean in, any trouble = unemployed.

Secondly I will ask our works buildings owner if he has anything I can borrow

Thirdly she goes on Thursday - neighbours back soon :y

Fourthly we have remained completley within the law at all times, we have not been noisy at illegal times, we have not made maliscious phone calls, we have not dumped dog poo, and we haven't tried knobbling cars.

I could so easily knobble her car or put a turn in the cabin air intake, but I won't so I can have a moral superiority.

As to scared - she can't do anything, not without losing her job, and I know how to hurt people if I am attacked, yet I don't know how to attack - if that makes sense. So absolute worst case is she gets a broken nose.

I will be placing my old HVC4000P in the window tonight pointing at my car, she doesn't know the tube is knacked!.

It's a 50's ray gun.  You can't get the tubes any more though.  Martin built it as a university project, before everything went so safety conscious.  ::)
