******* thing - I can't get it removed, can't get on the bolt - any ideas anyone?
-
I use a 10mm spanner on the bolt......you need to push down on the power steering pipe to get the last few turns out.
Then grip the transfer pipe and twist it whilst wiggling it....it should then pop out....

ah that will be th one Mark DTM calls the ba$tard bolt.......and even after you get it out e10) i think its quite hard to wriggle the pipe free from the stat housing....

Can't shift with E whatever socket, 10mm ring or open end (jumps) or next size down (3/8")
Any other ideas?

I am going to have to reassemble without changing the thermostat and then decide what to do - I can't get it apart and I need it.
-
Well I am going to try again next Sunday!

I undid the power steering reservoir and moved it forward and then managed to get an 8mm socket on a 1/4inch ratchet in.
