Title: Speed issues tonight
Post by: TheBoy on 16 September 2007, 22:31:39
Yes, aware of it.  Its most definately the server here.  Its most unhappy.  Its poor little CPU cannot keep up due to extra demands place on it a few days ago.

Fortunately, the new server arrived a couple of weeks ago, migration is not going to be an easy task, but work is ongoing, and should be implemented in a few days...

Chin up, TB.  The inevitable can only be delayed so long.......   ;)

Hopefully we will come out the other side, shining and bright, with a spring back in our step.....   :y

Migration don't take that long :P took me 2 hours at most to migrate from a debian server to a gentoo-based distro on a completely different architecture :P

The Linux based VM that runs this could be migrated in about 10 mins (or however long it takes to copy a few gigs across a gigabit network).  The Windows host, that is somewhat more complex due to the number of apps running on it....
