Title: Replacement Keys
Post by: JONNYWAKEY on 17 April 2007, 18:22:35
Hi Chaps.

Does anyone happen to know the best option to repair the 3 button Omega keys?

Soldering isn't a problem, however I just wondered if anyone knew of a supplier for the 3 microswitches?

Both of my keys need the switches replacing but I refuse to pay £50 per key.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the car pass?

eBay for the remote fobs, you can often get the blank blades there too.

Blades cut by local bod, but you need tech2 to program the keys to the car. Which will be dealer only and £45+ vat easily!

Unless someone around you has tech2....

Buy a new(er) fob from ebay, and swap switches ;)

Whats actually broken on the key? - Is it just the rubber thats gone? Or has the actual circuit board nakered?
