replaced front wishbones on my omega but there is still a slight knocking noise. does any one know what it could be

Did you check the anti roll bar droplinks?  Thats the vertical bar, about the diameter of a pencil, that connects the suspension upright beneath the spring to, funnily enought, the anti roll bar?  They are a favourite to fail and give a knocking type noise when on their way out.  As they are all 'suspension' type components and, in a round about way are bolted together, will seem like its from the wishbones.

Did you ensure that the wishbone bolts that attach to the subframe are

A) Only tightened up once the car is on the ground

B) Are torqued to the correct valuve (120Nm from memory)

Also, is the clonk only when going over pot holes....

thanks for the replies the clonking noise also happens when turning the wheel all the way to the left or right not just over the bumps but i will check all the other things listed thanks for your help will let you know how i get on
