Well, 2333 miles later the Omega has been to France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg & Belgium. Didn't miss a beat the whole way and no fluids topped up.
ermm. Well, other than the 84.6 gallons of petrol :o
Still, I was happy with 27.5 to the gallon considering the mountain passes, congested italian cities and the slightly elevated cruising speeds :y It was showing 30 to the gallon before we started hitting lumpy bits of ground.
One mishap. A biker descending a mountain pass in Italy dropped his bike in front of me after he took a corner wide and his front wheel hit gravel under braking. The bike damaged my front bumper. :'( No-one was hurt and I was stopped at the time of the accident so I'm hoping the claim will go my way.
So, what's the news round here?

This is the news since you've been gone. I've crashed the Vectra, (was hit in the rear). Claim went in my favour, so I bought this from one of our fellow members:
Needless to say, I'm as proud as punch ;D

Guess I'd better book a couple more days leave then ;D Or buy lots of Red Bull.

Didn't really take a lot this time but will have a trawl over the contents of my SD card when I've unpacked.

Hang on a mo, Kev! What about the petrol leak the night before your departure? I've been having visions of you and the missus stranded in deepest Europe, with just an old phrasebook and a smouldering Meega... ::) ;) ;D

Well, I went to Halfords and got a replacement filter for the tool box. I decided not to try to change it before departure because I figured if it did turn out to be a seal in the filter unions, removal would probably bu66er them and render me immobile, so I kept an eye on it and, despite the odd whiff of petrol, it didn't leak significantly.
Thanks for the reminder that I've got to take a look at it now I'm back though :y

Welcome back Kev, glad to hear that your petrol leak didn't turn the cross channel ferry into a scene from a viking longboat funeral :o :y
