1. They're French
2. They carry people
3. They're not made by Vauxhall

Hope this helps.  ;)

Avoid. Thats as simple as i could put it.

Know a few people that have experience of big renaults including espace.

Yes very practical but also very soft and suspect electricals.

Well, lets hope that you have a 'celebration' and that you don't have to 'get down on it' or else you may have to call 'Joanna' and go out on a 'ladies night'.  ;D

Sorry for the late reply. My dad had a V6 auto one.

V6 engine is rough,  gutless, thirsty (like 18 mpg) and a couple of decades out of date. The auto box has horrible jerky changes and I think my dad went through 1 or 2 gearbox changes on his in 120k miles, changed gratis by Renault. Also had an ECU failure and a couple of other electrical issues. Not the most reliable car on earth. Interior looked like it had been picked up at a tupperware party. Practical if you need the space and cheap 2nd hand, for a reason. Other powertrains may be better but I'd avoid the V6. It makes an Omega look very frugal...

So, sounds like the Espace may be off the shopping list what can the 'Comedy Store' recommend as a vehicle large enough to carry Kool and the Gang, Roxy Music and all of Phil Her Up's family?  :-?

I work with a guy who sold a problematic omega to buy a renault, then realised he'd made mistako grande, and bought a Meriva which he's had no trouble with

omega he said wasnt too bad but couldnt justify paying so much to run and maintain it since it cost so little to buy but he said the renault cost him a fortune to repair in such a small period of time and it was relatively new
