Title: help with fault code 98

when towing my caravan the managment light comes on ,then goes of when slowing down ,but there is no probs when not towing, the only fault showing is 98 can anybody  help

Code 98? That is an oxygen sensor fault code, but I suspect it is an indication of a fault elsewhere.

If it only comes on when the car is under load towing a caravan then I suspect a potential fuelling issue.
Does the car behave completely normally when not towing?

Which model and year do you drive (I guess it is a V6 judging by the fault code).

......and when was the fuel filter last changed......does it red lien in second without any problems....or does it cut out before then

its a 1998 model ,the car drives fine with no probs when not towing, the fuel filter was change 6 month ago and done aprox 40000 miles
