Title: Project Elite overheating :(
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 25 April 2007, 12:40:29
But ONLY when giving it some welly... it rises to just under 100

Normal driving the temp is fine. about 94.

After a blast, and watching the gauge rise, once I 'm on the flat again it will lower into an acceptable range again pretty fast

Me things the stat may not be opening all the way?

I flushed the whole system and matrix this morning, no difference.

Other than that, I just need to drop the passenger side CAT and sort out that gearbox connector.

Hmmm, I know the feeling  >:(

I am going to put some flushing agent through mine to see if that makes a difference, as I am stuck for ideas  :'(

Since the warm weathers started mine has rarely been as low as 92.5, which is the stats opening temp.  Its hovering just over the 95 mark most of the time, seen it as high as 96 ish before the fan cuts in..

I assume the aircon condenser is fairly clear and fly free.......its worth blowing it out from the engine side with the airline if not...
