Ah, thats good news ;)
Are the lights on on the dash?
-
ABS lights is there, won't light up under any kind of braking, TC lights will only come on when I manually pres the button, no difference though, no TC, wheelspin is easy round any corner

ABS light should only light up if there is a fault (and during system startup when ignition turns on). Does ABS light come on with ignition for a second or 2?

Hi,
ABS and TC lights light up on startup then extinguish, they came on about a month ago for about 10 mins as I drove home, switched off and restarted engine and they went off, not been like that again

So, as far as the system is concerned, everything is OK, but your TC isn't working? Is the ABS working (gently test on a bit of gravel)?

Hi,
No, not working at all, skidded a couple of times and theres no feedback at all

OK, I need to think about this one.
If it was one sensor failing/wrongly adjusted etc, I would expect it to light up the dash lights. If it was one of the pumps in the ABS unit, that shouldn't stop TC working.

Hi,
Might be a stab in the dark but my brake pads are due too get changed, could that be the cause?

And what about the ABS when braking hard?? What I mean is, can you feel the pedal pulsating?
At the monent, I'm thinking grotty sensors at the rear, not enough to show up a fault, but, enough to prevent the system interveinig.. Maybe worth a look, at the rotors either side of the diff under the back!!! MUD...

I assume F19 is ok....
-
Hi,
Sensors etc look okay, all been washed and cleaned as best as I can, F19 being a fault code I presume? Need to read up on how too read codes as i've only just got a fully working MID that I can read!

F19 = Fuse 19, which is in the fusebox under steering wheel

I think the next step is to see why the lights came on a couple of months back. Anyone near you got a Tech2, even a cheapo one?
-
Hi,
Don't know of anyone around here with Tech 2, and its getting the time to get to them. Getting new brakes/discs all round next weekend so will be another week before I can get to one, joy

Iain
