It's still in limp mode. Normal mode has worked twice today from a clean start, but seconds after pull away dropped back into limp
Oil was 2.5 litres too low. Level is now correct, but I've just not had time for a change.
selector switch change did no good.
ECU change did no good.
There is a good connection at the battery end round plug down to the black and yellow wire on the connector on the box... it's not shorting to earth anywhere so seems fine
Very very lost for ideas

Oh yes, Tech2 present code was 62: power control relay voltage low :-/
I'm still convinced it's electrical, because it flags up the MID "Auto box" error before even driving off or firing it up..

The code is present as soon as ignition on. This means the ECU is currently detecting this issue, hence warning. Whether or not it is an electrical or mechanical issue that the cause I do not know, but I know M_DTM has given you some ideas...
