Title: Creaking Sound from rear
Post by: laughjimbo on 29 April 2007, 16:55:08
Can anyone help me? I have got a loud creaking sound coming from the drivers side rear of the car. Just had all the bushes checked and it is none of those, someone else said to me that there is a mod that can be done under the rear seats to stop it.
Any ideas cause it is driving me crazy...

Yes there's a metal plate under the rear passengers seat on the right hand side that needs to be beaten down, unfortuneatly can't remember which plate it is, but hopefully someone with a legit copy of TIS will be able to tell you. Or you could lift out seat and get someone to rock the car while you listen to where it's coming from.
Cheers Pete

My previous meega had a rear wind replaced just one week after I got it, and the rear drivers side was creaking ever since throughout the 3 years that I owned the car - the problem was never resolved in spit of a second visit to garage which involved co0plete stripping for the rear trim and boot and applying lubrication and sealant etc. Not sure if this info helps....
