I was only thinking, on my way to work this morning, that some of our members would be getting Autumn earlier than others.

We have a beautiful sunny morning and it was still 9oC when I got in the car at 0715 so no chance of frost here yet.

Perhaps we could have a survey to see who gets the latest frosts of the year. I would also be interested to see how much difference there is in sunset times from north to south and east to west. I know that these things are published in tables but there is nothing like first hand reports to prove the point.

What does anyone else think?

0415  :(   - look on the bright side .. home by 1100 day finished :)

It was a beautiful clear sky, fantastic night sky of stars and planets, Venus looking particularly nice.

Damned cold at 3.5 C ... and I'd left me coat in the boot overnight not thinking I'd need it ... car warmed up nice and fast though  :)

had ice on my rear window, frost on the front

i'm never patient enough to let the heaters do their job, or de-icer, squirt bottles of warm water leave no residue :D

Cold here first thing, but the sun's out and it's warmed up a bit now.

I'm off canoeing on the river now and as I can't roll I'll be swimming with the fishes again - and that is bloody cold water :-[

Somehow I'm reluctant to leave my cosy house tonight :-/

It'll be dark by 7.30 and we don't finish until 8pm - best get my hear torch :y

Aren't hobbies fun  :o
