Revs OK consumption not stupid. No obvious problems.

Only possible is that is stalled after starting a while ago and needed to be restarted

That is what my hunch thinks - I will check wiring tomorrow and see if I can find any code reader owners on Monday

It's an Omega Martin - it's always the crank sensor  :-/ :'(

I think a generic code reader should do a 2.6 if that helps.

It all depends as if the generic reader I am thinking of went with the chief mechanic when the place closed.

He would do it as a favour IF he managed to grab it.

OK more info, runs perfectly, emmisions light is currently out, but had one struggled start when it normally starts perfectly.

Dont think it'll be cam or crank sensor then.....as the EML will go off or stay off when you start and its happy with them.

If it was unhappy all the time with them......you would know.

The code reader didn't work!

Anyway the light went out today :y
