Revs OK consumption not stupid. No obvious problems.
Only possible is that is stalled after starting a while ago and needed to be restarted

Crank sensor ::):(
-
That is what my hunch thinks - I will check wiring tomorrow and see if I can find any code reader owners on Monday
-
It's an Omega Martin - it's always the crank sensor :-/ :'(

Just a bit, I will check wires in morning - but I think I know someone with a code reader

I think a generic code reader should do a 2.6 if that helps.

It all depends as if the generic reader I am thinking of went with the chief mechanic when the place closed.
He would do it as a favour IF he managed to grab it.

OK more info, runs perfectly, emmisions light is currently out, but had one struggled start when it normally starts perfectly.

Cam sensor? Code P0340
-
BTW the mechanic (Phil) has set up less than half a mile from our office, so I'll call him on Monday

No

Yes
Dont think it'll be cam or crank sensor then.....as the EML will go off or stay off when you start and its happy with them.
If it was unhappy all the time with them......you would know.

If you're stuck for a code reader, I don't mind meeting you at Frankly Services on the M5, we could plug my 'cheapo Tech II' into it.

Nice offer - I'll check with the local chap first as he is very near work!

Anyway the light went out today :y
