So both of your previously working keys have failed?  Possibly more likely an issue with the car side of the immobiliser?  Does car lock and unlock remotely OK?

Welcome to the site :)

I was told (today) that the older models are also available re carpass but need to be retrieved from archives so more time needed.

No the doors will only work with the key.
I have 2 keys one worked the other I'm not sure ever worked. I have been told by stealers they can sort the key if I take it to them but at a cost.

Hi there

Is this the infra red remote type alarm.

My dads is the same system he only has one fob and the batteries started to die took the batteries to H'Samuel and they tested them, we then fitted new batteries into the remote and it worked no problem.

Even if the red led flashes on the side of remote, like my dads did just replace the batteries, worked for me.

Originally i thought it was a fault with red dot so the sunroof panel was removed for investigation and it was uneccessary.

Hope this helps

Ok, another thought have you had any fuses blow the one I'm thinking of enables the display internal lights etc are these still working?

If the fuse for the internal light etc is blown you wont be able to resync your remote

All fuses are fine. Although I did find a 15amp blown in the engine relay box, Ithought this was the problem but like you I took uot the sunroof to see if there was power to the sensor all fine, but still no go.

This isn't right.  Is the 15A fuse still intact now?  Which fuse is it?
Something popped this and won't be a happy bunny until its working again.

No sync - ignore input - appears to fail.

Can you re-sync an IR remote with the ignition on?

The 15 amp fuse.  The only 15 amp fuse I can find on the wiring diagram is for the immobilisor sensor.  The fuse is still intack and I have tested to see if there is power to the sensor and power at the fuse still no joy.

Have read in places the older style alarm remotes need programming via Tech1.

My mistake the fuse is a 20amp not 15 & looking at the diagram for the X25XE it is No 16.

16 isn't a fuse by the look of it  :-/

sorry when I said 16 I ment the fuse is located at the front of 16 although it is not shown in any diagram.  I'm wondering if this is just some extra that has been added to the car at some point.
