As some of you know am currently undertaking changing the oil cooler on my omega initally though it was a HG but advice from this forum suggested not........However whilst removing Plenium etc etc we have changed the spark plugs which leads me to 2 questions
1. On removing the plug for Spark Plug no 2 (front right side as you look at the engine) there is water in the plug (think its coolant) and also the spark plug is wet on removal. all the others are dry. Is this the due to a HG or is there some other reason for this????
2. Spark plug 1 (front left as you look at it) the nut on the spark plug itself has been rounded off and am unable to remove with spark plug wrench any ideas please.

Where abouts is the water on the plug?
Was it in the plug well, or on the underside of the plug?

If the plug gets wet on the inside, the water (or coolant) will not come out from around the seal...
So if you have water or coolant on the outside of the plug i.e. in the plug well, it must be coming from somewhere else, not HG.
It looks like the tip of the plug got wet when you pulled it through the soaked well?

The engine had been running very rough and was missing prior to changing the plug.... pretty sure that the plug was wet when I pulled it out but and not from the water already in well as not much.
Is this a sign of HG??????????

HG failure on the V6 is very unusual and to be certain you need to do a compression test and ideally have the header tank "sniffed" for evidence of exhaust fumes.
Misfiring badly is most likely DIS pack failing. Easy to change while doing oil cooler.
