:-/Hello all. I'm still having no luck in getting my interior lights (courtesy) to work at all. Ive checked everything i can think of, bulbs, fuses, door switches etc. The Main headlight switch seems to control everything(except the dam interior lamps) Ive also noticed that the ultrasonic sensors that are built into the main lamp at the front dont seem to be working either. beginning to think it must be a power feed wire that may have come off or burnt out. Any idea how you take out the lamp (cant see any screws) is it just clipped in(dont want to break it taking it out).
Apart from this annoying niggle everything else on my car works fine.
Can anybody give me a clue where else to look?
many thanks in advance

the button is on the interior light isnt it, not on your headlamp switch?
as far as the other problem, no idea

Hi, There are 2 buttons on the lamp itself. These are for the map reading lamps (they dont work either). The headlight switch, apart from rotating it to turn on the headlights, it is also a pull-push switch to turn on the interior lights. saves opening the doors i guess.

Sounds like the multiplug has come out on the connector on the back of the light.....pop it out and have a look, it simply clips in place so use some butter knives to ease it out along the longest side.

the pull/push didnt do anything on mine, even tho it did in my corsa, the map reading lamps only work on mine when they ignition is on (and obviously without the ignition when i'm actually getting out of the car), do yours not even work when you open the doors?
when you say courtesy lamps, are you referring to the same one i am, or do you mean the ones at the bottom of your doors..?

Hi Danny, i refer to all of them, the ones above your head (front and back) and the ones in the doors, i'm just going to remove the main lamp to check the wiring plugs. Back in a mo.

:y :y :yHi all again, Sorted my lamps and my ultrasonics. It was a fuse!!!!. Just happened to look around this site and found a link from STM0123 for downloading the owners manuals. Noticed their were 2 listed for 2002 onwards Omega's. Thought i'd download both and compare them for slight differences. I found quite a few, one of which was the fuses section. According to the June 2002 manual (same manual i got with the car) the courtesy lamps are on fuse 12's circuit. I've already checked this fuse and its fine. But when i compared it with the October 2002 manual i noticed that the lamps were on fuse 7's circuit. I checked out fuse 7 and it had poped(Dont know why) You'll never guess what happened when i put a new fuse in. Yes hey presto the lights all came on and my ultrasonics are back in action again.
Must have the later fuse box in my Omega.
It just goes to show you cant trust the owners manual to much.
Many thanks for all your help
