Title: ABS Warning light
Post by: Pitchfork on 20 May 2007, 13:28:01
On the stretch of M40 between A43 & A34 junctions my ABS warning lamp came on
Pull up on the 1st layby on A34, Turned off motor, counted to 10 & restarted - lamp extinguished & has stayed off all the way home
Can anyone explain why it may have lit & seemingly recovered or could it have been a software glitch in a Control Unit?

ABS /Traction control is connected by sensors on all 4 wheels. If you got a bit of road dirt or a leaf between the rotar and sensor, it would trigger a fault. When you stopped it may have fallen out. keep an eye on things, but don't worry too much.

I was keen to get home after performing to midnight then spending 2 hours in the Beer Tent before 5 hours attempt at sleep in a tent!
Maybe next time I'm passing
